Dual-Color, Dual-Mode Rubber Molding Machine

Two-color rubber injection molding machine developed by shoe machinery giant Jingang Machinery has just been put into operation. This new machine has a series of unique advanced features, including dual injection system for soft and hard materials, multi-functional head and multi-mold structure, and intelligent production.
Compared with traditional machines, this new machine reduces manual labor by 60%. With the ability to precisely control the injection volume for each injection, it is an optimal solution for producing thinner and lighter sports shoes. Since its introduction, this popular product has attracted the attention of many world-famous sports shoe brands, who have implemented it in their factories for testing and evaluation, setting a new trend in the footwear industry.
GOWIN has been specializing in the production of chemical foam injection molding equipment for over 40 years, which is used for injection molding ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) for athletic shoe insoles and injection molding rubber for athletic shoe soles.
In order to keep up with the ever-changing fashion trends and meet the urgent need of factories for high-performance equipment, the company invests a large part of its annual budget in R&D, product optimization and upgrading. This year, the company launched the first two-color injection molding machine KS9806TL2 with fully automated production to the global market, replacing the traditional manual processes of rubber pouring and mold opening/closing.
These innovative technologies not only save customers money, but are also recognized as pioneering inventions in the industry. The machine is equipped with a precise injection volume control system, which can accurately control the injection volume of ultra-thin rubber with a thickness of no more than 0.7mm in one shot, making it an optimal solution for the industry seeking to reduce weight.
Rubber soles make sports shoes more durable. This material is abrasion-resistant and non-slip, two essential qualities of sports shoes. King Steel’s KS9806TL2 model can combine different materials of two colors at the same time, simplifying the complex processes on the sole production line. A single injection molding process can produce rubber soles of different colors.
In addition, rubber sole production often faces planning difficulties due to the small production volumes of different colors and varieties. Equipped with multiple injection molding machines, it provides flexible material selection and a wide range of sole sizes. The multi-station design also allows for multiple molds to be operated, achieving high productivity in mixed production.
Moreover, the efficient operation of the new machine eliminates the shortcomings of the previous single-press and single-press designs. Its high-performance multi-functional design not only reduces investment costs, but also minimizes the use of production space and reduces labor requirements by up to 60%.
Setback: Apple’s plans to expand iPhone production in India are derailed as Foxconn pulls back hundreds of Chinese engineers amid Beijing’s efforts to curb technology transfers. Apple Inc.’s assembly partner Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd. (known internationally as Foxconn Technology Group) has pulled back about 300 Chinese engineers from a plant in India, in the latest setback for the iPhone maker’s rapid expansion in the country. Hon Hai’s component subsidiary Yuzhan Technology (India) Private Ltd. has pulled back Chinese workers from its plant in the southern state of Tamil Nadu, the second such move in months. The company has begun bringing in Taiwanese engineers to fill positions left by the layoffs, people familiar with the matter said.
Taiwan’s CPC and Formosa Petrochemical Corporation announced yesterday that domestic gasoline and diesel prices would rise by NT$0.1 and NT$0.4, respectively, due to the rise in global crude oil prices last week. The companies issued separate statements saying that starting today, prices of 92-, 95- and 98-octane unleaded gasoline at CPC and Formosa Petrochemical stations would rise to NT$27.3, NT$28.8 and NT$30.8 per liter, respectively. The price of premium diesel at CPC stations would rise to NT$26.2 per liter, while it would rise to NT$26 per liter at Formosa Petrochemical stations. Global crude oil prices had previously risen.
Demand Steady: Delta Electronics, which supplies U.S. customers in the aerospace, defense and machinery sectors, expects second-half sales to remain flat compared with the first half. Delta Electronics Co., Ltd. (Delta Electronics) expects its U.S. automation business to remain stable in the second half of the year, with no signs of weakening customer demand. Speaking on the sidelines of the Taiwan Automation, Intelligence and Robotics Expo in Taipei on Wednesday, Liu Jiarong, general manager of the company’s industrial automation business group, said second-half results are expected to be similar to the first half, citing continued strong demand from U.S. customers. The company previously reported a 7% year-on-year increase in first-half automation business revenue to NT$27.22 billion (US$889.98 million), accounting for 11% of total revenue.
A German company is recycling used electric car batteries by putting them into refrigerator-sized containers that can be used at home and in businesses to store excess solar and wind power. This week, Voltfang (which means “volt-catching”) opened its first industrial site in Aachen, Germany, near the border with Belgium and the Netherlands. Voltfang, which employs around 100 people, says it is the largest such facility in Europe in the growing field of lithium-ion battery recovery. CEO David Udsanji hopes it will help Europe’s largest economy move away from fossil fuels and toward climate-friendly renewables.
